would ya look at these happy mugs? in this shot you can tell we escaped the retched clutches of utah and were just beginning our cali adventures. it's amazing how refreshing it is to experience some other culture than that of churchy utah. don't you worry fishy.... we will escape for good soon enough.
somehow we managed to fit a plethora of fun into such a short time span all while managing plenty of beachy relaxation time. couldn't ask for more.
here's a short list of some places we conquered...in no particular order. all over san diego, oceanside, lego land, sea life adventures, balboa park, gaslamp district, old town, la jolla, walked across coronado island, took a ferry to it, wild life park, william davis museum, museum of making music, museum of art and history, took a north harbor excursion, attended a couple street parties, and a few very very cool restaurants to be mentioned are ruby's diner at the end of oceanside pier, the cheese shop, and a kick ass joe's crab shack. now what - with all this fun going on Ocean did NOT like the idea of returning home. soon as he noticed we were at our door step he began crying the saddest tears i ever did see. and i figured he'd be happy to see all his toys. no way.
needless to say, there were way too many photos taken and it will be difficult to choose which ones to blog... so i will work on doing that over the next few days. enjoy.

this is just the start of lego land. this was one of the most thrilling moments of Ocean's life - the whole lego land experience. i've never seen him so excited and aw stricken. he knew it was made just for him.

this lil party animal would have stayed up all night if we let him. he couldn't get enough drum playin with the boys or receive enough smooches from the gals at uncle billy's birthday extravaganza.

our lil smarty pants is just so dang... well.. smart and doesn't always wear pants. at 22 months old he is learning to communicate in 3 languages and yes, i AM bragging. he even has a spanish accent when he speaks spanish - so funny. here, he is signing the word more. evidently he wanted more goodies.
he's got stars in his eyes... and in his nose, his mouth, chin. ..
